At the helm for Forest City, James developed from start to finish the $1 billion, 19,000 seat, $1 billion arena that is the home of the Brooklyn Nets. He brought innovation to the design, construction, and operations of the project, making it the top US venue in ticket sales in 2013 and the first half of 2014, as well as the state-of-the-art model for arenas worldwide.
The project included the complex infrastructure for the Pacific Park project, an 8 mm SF mixed use development, including 336,000 SF of office and 6,400 units of housing (2,250 of which are affordable), 247,000 SF of retail, and 8 acres of open space.

James executed the renovation of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum project from start to finish, including initial vision; award of County RFP; negotiation of acquisition; legislative, land use, and other approvals; negotiation of real estate, sales, and mortgage recording tax exemptions; creation and oversight of capital budgets and operating projections; raising $100,000,000 in EB-5 financing; management of consultants; project design, Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract and project labor agreement negotiations, construction oversight, technology implementation, marketing, PR, and operational ramp-up. The project was a joint venture between Forest City and Onexim USA

James developed the 365-unit, 80/20 residential tower. Designed by Costas Kondylis.
Atlantic Terminal, Brooklyn, New York
James managed all aspects of the development of $100 million, 400,000 SF office building, for Forest City. Located above a 400,000 SF retail base, the building was designed by Swanke Hayden Connell.
Harlem Center, Manhattan, New York
James developed the $37,000,000, 125,000-square-foot office building on 125th Street and Lenox Avenue, the first office building to be developed in upper Manhattan in 30 years, kicking-off uptown resurgence. Designed by H3 and HLW
